Stream And Download ‘Chill Bros’ From The Forthcoming Tieranniesaur Album
I remember hearing about this as a party unfolded in Twitter real-time, thinking what a lovely surprise it must have been for Big Monster Love to discover that the Popical Island fam and friends had secretly recorded a tribute album of his songs. The title Plunderphonics is quite fitting because BML has a horde of great songs and lyrics, and all the different takes on his Game Over album by some of Ireland’s favourite bands (Tieranniesaur, Squarehead, So Cow, The Mighty Stef just a few) should be just the key that’s needed to unlock this treasure chest.
If you dig this, it’s available on Bandcamp to buy now on a name-your-price basis. Big Monster Love is supporting Jens Lekman this Thursday 20 November at Whelans.

Super fun next week! Haven’t been to Popicalia in ages and it feels.
Somethings are just fun for the hell of it. This morning a promo shot was circulated by Meteor PR to promote a special Tieranniesaur gig at next weekend’s Meteor Camden Crawl Dublin. As you can see, Popical Island tend to attract a lot of graphic designers, the cheekiest of whom were bored in work this morning. There are actually way too many to post here.

Villagers, Tieranniesaur and Kormac’s Big Band are among the first slew of artists named for the 2012 Body & Soul festival at Ballinlough Castle, Westmeath this June. They join the mightily impressive line-up that boasts M83, St Vincent and John Talabot amongst others, and it’s already being said to have wiped the floor with what Electric Picnic has to offer. Tickets are €99 on sale now.
Monday blues? Here’s a new video from Tieranniesaur to breeze through the start of the week. This is such a brilliant, brilliant song that features on Tsaur’s recent debut album. Wowsies, Bowsie Workshops!
Londoners should head out in force to see them play the Camden Barfly on 16 March.
Check out the new Tieranniesaur video we made last week!

Lights has been doing stuff for years now but I wish he’d condense the time and release more great stuff like this on a regular basis. In The Sargasso is my favourite song from ‘Tieranniesaur’ and the piano on this is a really cool addition.
